THE VILLA
The Congo-born owner found his little piece of paradise on the shores of the Spice Island, in the fishermen village of Matemwe. The private villa was built in 2005, a long time before tourism industry landed in Zanzibar, and was intended a home away from home rather than a typical holiday rental.
LOCATION
In the North-East of the Zanzibar, Matemwe is also called the island’s ‘Golden Mile’. Instead of mass tourism, you will find a few boutique hotels and private houses alongside 12 kilometres of pristine and peaceful beaches. The perfect setting for romantic walks along the shore against the background of a turquoise water laguna.
POOL
The leisure pool surrounded by an area of shallow water which is very enjoyable for kids to play in, but is likewise appreciated by adults! The pool is exposed to warming sunshine all day long for pleasant water temperatures. It is 1.75m at its deepest for security reasons. Plenty of sunbeds are available around the pool area as well as on the beach. A qualified technician stands in for a proper functioning of the pool machinery and an outstanding quality of the water.
THE VERANDA
As one tends to live outside in Africa, the veranda serves as our outdoor living and dining area. A perfect place for breakfast or dinner, read a book, or do some work (if you really have to!). Measuring 80m2, there’s space for everyone!

TERRACE LUNCH AREA
Along the public beach ,but on our own elevated private beach is an area covered by an Indian almond tree which is used to enjoy lunch with a cooling breeze and amazing seaviews, enjoy your lunch served on the beach in the shadows of an Indian almond tree.
BEDROOMS
The villa offers four spacious bedrooms, which are beautifully decorated and offer exquisite sea or garden views. The rooms are equipped with super comfortable EU imported beds and air conditioning, ensuring a good night’s sleep.
The ground floor has two bedrooms, share one large ensuite bathroom in between both rooms. The first floor has two bedrooms, each with private ensuite bathroom and enormous terraces with areas for relaxing and direct frontal seaview .
Additional beds can be provided for up to 4 people if required.
